School Enrollment Exception
Little League's school enrollment rule provides an exception to the traditional boundary requirements for player eligibility. If an athlete does not reside within Spring Valley Little League's boundaries but attends a school (public, private, or charter) that is physically located within our boundary, the athlete is eligible to participate in our league. This rule allows families greater flexibility and ensures that children can play alongside their classmates and peers, fostering stronger team dynamics and community connections.
To take advantage of this option, parents or guardians must complete the School Enrollment Form, signed by a school administrator, verifying the athlete’s enrollment at the school. This form will then need to emailed to [email protected] to confirm eligibility.
Patch Information & Instructions
The Little League Official Uniform Patch is the only recognized identification which sets a Little Leaguer apart from all other children who play baseball or softball. The patch symbolizes the Little League mission of building character, teaching discipline, and fostering loyalty for the millions of Little Leaguers throughout the world.

Parent’s Guide to the Little League® Child Protection Program
The backbone of Little League is the adult volunteer. One million strong, it is the corps of dedicated people who coach the teams, umpire the games, work in the concession stands, serve on the local Board of Directors, and serve at the District level. These people live in every U.S. state and more than 80 countries and they make Little League the world’s largest and most respected youth sports organization.
We know the greatest treasure we have is our children. As adults, we must ensure that these young people are able to grow up happy, healthy, and above all, safe. Whether they are our children or the children of others, each of us has a responsibility to protect them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who is the Spring Valley Little League Board?
A: Check out our Board of Directors page
Q: Is the Board paid?
A: No. SVLL is a completely voluntary run league. Board members and coaches volunteer their time to make the league run.
Q: Where do my league fees go?
A: League fees as well as snack shack revenue and sponsor donations are all 100% put directly back into the league for league operations and make capital improvements. Check out the league’s yearly budget.
Q: Can anyone join the board and how?
A: Yes, any member of the league in good standing is eligible to be voted on the board. All board seats are voted on at the League’s annual meeting on the first Thursday following Labor Day each year. Also, all of our board meetings are open to the league membership and are held monthly. Check the leagues calendar for dates, times and location.
Q: How do I become a coach or volunteer?
A: Please check the box at time of registration that you are interested in volunteering and in what area. Or you simply need to fill out a volunteer form.
Q: Why is my child league age older than his/her actual age?
A: Little League created the league age chart which shows a player’s league age as the age he/she will be on August 31, 2025.
Q: Can I request my player to be on a specific team?
A: For the lower divisions (t-ball and coach pitch only) you can submit a request for players/coaches you wish to be teamed with. All requests must be noted at the time of registration or requested to the email address [email protected] prior to the registration deadline. We try our absolute best to accommodate all requests submitted on time.
For the upper divisions that involve the draft process, the only requests that can be submitted are sibling requests. All sibling requests must be noted at the time of registration or requested to the email address [email protected] prior to the registration deadline.
Q: Can I request my player be drafted to a certain team?
A: SVLL strictly follows Little League guidelines for drafting teams. Each team will be allowed to hold two players (the Manager’s child and the Assistant Coach’s child). All others MUST fall into the draft pool which is available to all teams. Players that attended the scheduled evaluations will be eligible on draft day. Any players that did not participate in evaluations will be ineligible for draft, their names held until all eligible players have been selected, then their names drawn and assigned to teams with open spots at random. Coaches will not be able to pick or have preference on a player that did not attend evaluations - they are strictly drawn at random in a predetermined order.
Q: What is the next step after I register?
A: Once you have completed your registration, check your email! A confirmation email will come to you with all the dates you need to know for the up-coming season. You will also receive emailed updates from the league as the season gets closer to inform you what is to come. The website www.springvalleylittleleague.com will continue to be updated with announcements and dates to know!
Q: When will we get uniforms?
A: We aim to have uniforms to teams a week before opening day at the latest.
Q: When will the season start?
A: Registration will be opening November 18, 2024 and once closed, evaluations, draft (for upper divisions) and team formation (for lower divisions) will be completed. YOUR COACH will be reaching out to you once your player is on a team to fill you in on all practice and league info. See our what to expect page.

A: SVLL home fields for Spring Season are Desert Breeze Park. For Fall Season, we will play at all games at Potosi Park.
All divisions, T-ball through Majors will play at Potosi Park for the Fall 2024 season. Practices will be held at either Desert Breeze or Potosi Park.
