What To Expect This Season

Pre-Season

  • Equipment/Uniform
    • Registration includes jersey and hat. Teams will coordinate pant colors (Coach pitch and Tee Ball will include pants)
    • Baseball cleats – molded only, no metal (metal cleats are allowed for Juniors and Seniors. Tee Ball may wear tennis shoes)
    • Athletic supporters. All male players should wear athletic supporters (Tee Ball excluded)
    • Baseball glove
    • USA stamped bat (bat requirements)
    • Helmets (it’s encouraged to have your own helmet, but coaches will have extras available)
  • Evaluations
    • All players league age 7 and up will take part in player evaluations. No exceptions. Any player not evaluated will be placed on a team by the Player Agent based on need.
    • Evaluation dates:       
      • January 27th 9:00am - League ages 7 -9
      • January 27th 12:00pm - League ages 10 - 12
      • January 27th 2:00pm - League ages 13 - 16
      • January 29th 6:00pm - Make up date for league ages 7 - 9
      • January 30th 6:00pm - Make up date league ages 10 - 16
  • Teams will be formed the week of February 5th Coaches will contact you with team and practice information
  • Practices
    • Practices will begin the week of Feb 17th
    • Days and times will be established with the coaches

Season

  • Opening day is set for March 23rd
  • Full schedules will be created following the designation of teams.
  • Expect 1 -2 weekday games and a Saturday game
    • Weekday game times typically will begin at 6:30 (Some 5:30 for Tee Ball)
    • Saturday game times will begin at 9 am and run through the day.
  • Regular Season will consist of 12 games and run to the first week of May
  • Playoffs
    • All divisions (except Tee Ball) will have a double elimination tournament at the end of the season.
    • Should begin immediately following the end of the regular season and run for 2 weeks ending before Memorial Day weekend.

Post Season District Tournaments

  • District 4 hosts two post-season tournament
    • Tournament of Champions
      • The winners of our Majors and Minors tournament will participate in the TOC single elimination tournament which will run May 27th – June 1st
    • Allstar Tournament
      • District 4 hosts 3 All-star tournaments that run July 6th – 15th
      • SVLL will conduct tryouts for three teams in May 22nd
        • Little League – 12, 11, 10
        • 11, 10, 9 team
        • 10, 9, 8 team
